The Soaring Union of Los Angeles was first organized in 1972 as a non-profit club made up of Remote Control Sailplane enthusiasts. The club has grown to include all aspects of radio controlled flying where hobby oriented flyers gather to share the experience and thrill of flying for fun or in friendly competition. The SULA Club has an excellent novice program to assist beginning R/C flyers in becoming familiar with their own planes and equipment.
